Colombian President’s Visa Revocation: A Direct Assault from the Biden Administration!
The simmering tension between the Colombian government and the Biden regime hit a boiling point this past Friday. Yes, you heard it right! The White House has officially revoked President Gustavo Petro’s visa, making a bold statement on ‘reckless diplomacy.’ The State Department issued a shocking statement, declaring,
“Early this week, President Petro was seen on the streets of New York urging U.S. soldiers to defy orders and incite unrest. We simply cannot stand by and allow such incendiary rhetoric.”
And how did Petro react? In true defiant fashion, he took to social media, boldly stating, “I arrive in Bogotá without a visa to the U.S., and I could not care less!” He went on to emphasize that he’s not just a Colombian citizen, but also a European one, casting himself as a “free individual in a world that is watching.”
Dangerous Words from a Desperate Leader
Petro is certainly not holding back. In a series of subsequent tweets, he warned,
“Separating the United States from Colombia is what the mafias want.”
He accused the Trump administration of violating international norms and suggested that the U.S. government “no longer adheres to international law.” It’s a clear tactic: paint the U.S. as the enemy while trying to rally his base.
But he didn’t stop there. Going as far as encoding direct attacks, he penned an open letter aimed at Trump where he brazenly asserted,
“Your administration shouldn’t condone violence against anyone, especially the innocent.”
He further claimed that the U.N. headquarters should not “continue to be a pawn in international political games.”
The Growing Opposition
Unsurprisingly, Petro’s opponents are quick to pounce on this political fallout. Presidential hopeful for the 2026 elections, Sergio Fajardo, didn’t hold back as he mocked the situation. He quipped,
“Congrats, President Petro! You’ve successfully made yourself the poster child for anti-Americanism. Maybe now you can focus on leading your ‘third World War’ against Trump.”
He highlighted how Petro has failed to secure the interests of Colombia and instead opted for the role of a constant victim.
Even more telling, the legal secretary of the Presidency, Augusto Ocampo, joined the spectacle by renouncing his American visa in what he hailed as solidarity with Petro. Is this the crumbling of Colombian leadership as we know it?
We’re witnessing a theatre of the absurd! The far-left rhetoric is reaching critical levels, and international relations are on a knife’s edge. Will President Petro’s antics finally bring about the reckoning that Colombia needs? Only time will tell!
