Chega Surpasses Socialists: A Wake-Up Call for Portugal!
In a stunning turn of events, the Democratic Alliance (AD) and the explosive extreme right party Chega have decisively distributed the four remaining deputies in Portugal’s latest elections. This seismic shift means that Chega has not only surpassed the Socialist Party (PS) by two seats but has also left them with absolutely nothing! Under the bold leadership of André Ventura, Chega now stands as the first formidable challenge to the election victor, Luís Montenegro. The party has successfully retained its two deputies from emigration circles—one from Europe and another from the broader world. Chega finishes the electoral maelstrom with a total of 60 deputies, a landmark achievement, marking the first time since 1976 that the Socialists are completely frozen out of representation from the Emigration Party, as reported by Public Public.
