Mexico’s National Guard and Navy had to deploy to protect this embarrassing operation at Toluca International Airport. How low can they go?
When Will This Madness End?
Let’s face it: the new tariffs are part of Trump’s bold strategy against drug cartels, declared terrorist organizations just a couple of weeks ago. The President didn’t pull punches when he justified this economic warfare: “Drugs are entering our country from Mexico and Canada at unacceptable levels!” And let’s not forget—fentanyl is the main culprit!

Falling for Diplomatic Shenanigans
Efforts to placate Trump’s economic onslaught are becoming increasingly frantic. The Mexican Foreign Secretary, Marcelo Ebrard, hopped on a flight to broker peace with U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick. However, will it be enough to stave off these devastating tariffs?
Claudia Sheinbaum’s government claims to be ramping up immigration control and upping their war against the narco-empire. But will arrests, historic drug seizures, and continued border control truly turn the tide? The Biden Administration seems not to care!

The supposed collaboration from Mexico has been far from impressive. Sheinbaum has backtracked on her previous stance and has even agreed to take in a handful of migrants deported from the U.S.
According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection statistics, just 81,792 people were intercepted at the border in January 2025—a significant drop! This begs the question: is this enough to appease the Trump administration? With 10,000 Mexican soldiers around and now the extradition of high-profile drug traffickers, Mexico is fighting for its economic future!
