“UFOs Are Real”: Explosive Testimonies Shake the U.S. Congress

What was said at the second UFO hearing of the United States Congress

In a landmark session, the U.S. Congress delved deeper into the realm of the unexplained. The special hearing, titled “Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena: Revealing the Truth”, featured expert witnesses including high-ranking officials from NASA, the U.S. Armed Forces, the Department of Defense, and a seasoned investigative journalist. The main takeaway? A statement that reverberated through the chamber: “UAPs are real.”

Revelations and Testimonies

Presided over by Subcommittee Chairs Nancy Mace and Glenn Grothman, the hearing aimed to push the boundaries of transparency regarding UAPs, formerly known as UFOs. The session highlighted potential government programs long shrouded in secrecy and the public’s right to know the truth.

Tim Gallaudet, a retired Rear Admiral and former oceanographer of the U.S. Navy, set the tone by sharing a gripping firsthand account. He described a 2015 pre-deployment naval exercise off the U.S. East Coast that culminated in the now-famous “Go Fast” video. The footage, captured by the sensors of an F/A-18 Navy aircraft, depicted an object with no known analog in terms of design or flight capability. Astonishingly, Gallaudet revealed that the video mysteriously disappeared from his and others’ email accounts, sparking questions about internal suppression.

Luis Elizondo, a former Department of Defense official, bolstered the narrative with a bold statement: “I want to be clear: UAPs are real. These are advanced technologies not of our own making.” Elizondo, who once led the Pentagon’s Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP), described years of secretive work involving UAPs and cited threats to national security if these phenomena were in the hands of adversaries. He shared that whistleblowers like himself faced professional and personal risks: “This is not hyperbole; it’s a real consequence,” he said, referencing intimidation aimed at silencing insiders.

Calls for Action

Independent journalist Michael Shellenberger presented a compelling 214-page report that chronicled UAP sightings and investigations dating back to 1947. He pressed Congress to pass comprehensive UAP transparency legislation and reduce funding for any undisclosed programs bypassing legislative oversight. “UAP transparency is bipartisan and crucial for national security,” Shellenberger declared.

Adding to the urgency, Michael Gold, former NASA associate administrator and member of NASA’s independent UAP study team, stressed the importance of breaking the “pernicious stigma” that stifles scientific discourse on UAPs. Gold advocated for NASA to take on a leading role as a data-sharing hub and facilitate open forums to legitimize public and academic discussions on the subject. “The truth is out there; we must be bold enough to confront it,” he concluded.

A Historical Echo

This was not the first time Congress addressed such enigmatic topics. In last year’s hearing, retired Major David Grusch, who once worked with the Pentagon’s UAP Task Force, shocked the room by alleging that non-human biological remains were retrieved from crash sites. Although Grusch did not testify this year, his claims lingered, casting a shadow over the new testimonies.

As the U.S. public continues to demand transparency, the revelations of this hearing mark another chapter in the complex and often perplexing narrative of UAPs and potential extraterrestrial encounters.
